Since we decided he looks like a Teddy Bear……….His name is…….
TEDDY………
Erik brought home a bed for the cats and was surprised to find he had a puppy to sleep in the little bed. The puppy really loves it! The first thing Erik said when he saw the pupppy ” Do we get to keep him??” Well of course!! I would never get a pet and have the kids get attached to it and then get rid of it. That is why it took us 8 years to get the puppy we had to make sure about our decision.

Today we are resting….we had a bunch of people over last night from 4:00 until about 12:30. It was alot of fun and the puppy had a great time with all the kids. He is so good with the kids.
Seeing my children with the puppy so makes you know that this was the right thing for them. They are all helping a lot to take care of him. Last night Josh took him for the night and had him in his room. This morning I went down and got the puppy so Josh could sleep some more. He said the puppy slept until about 5:00 am until he needed to go potty. I took him out to go at 8:40 and he went fine. Now he is eating and playing with Tommy. I can’t wait until Erik comes home and sees him, he will be so exctied!!

Happy Anniversary to us……hubby let the boys and I pick up a puppy that we just love. He has been alot of fun already. The boys and I just love him….

Today is our wedding anniversary! Tonight Josh is going to watch Tommy for us so we can go out and see a movie and go for a walk or something. It will be nice to just spend some time together without all the children. We have been married for 6 years today. It doesn’t feel like that long at all….time has been going so quickly.
Last night I spent some time paying bills and working on our budget and balancing the checkbook. Fun,, Fun…Fun…. I was going to do my menu and shopping list as well, but went ot bed instead.
This morning I will be cleaning up the common areas and getting ready to get groceries and make my menu.
I hope to plant my garden soon. Josh and Charlie turned about 1/2 of the soil so it should be ready soon. They are such good boys!
Well I am off to shower and get some things done around here. Have a great weekend!!
Wow…a beautiful Friday here in MN and not hardly a person in the office this afternoon. ARGH!!! But it sure made it easy to find a good parking place today. LOL!! I have already been to Red Wing to do a school observation this morning and now I am heading out to a homevisit, then I am done for the day! I did manage to close two cases…YEAH!! That just means more new ones though.
Unfortunately I have alot of meetings scheduled for June. The new social worker starts on the 1st and I am the one that does the training/mentoring in our unit. I need to try to be in the office as much as possible in June. Luckily her cube is right next to mine, which will make mentoring very easy. I still have to make up two manuals before she starts…hmmmm….not sure when I will get to that.
BTW – I am so happy to report I have been off of predisone since Monday. I pray I will stay healthy and able to stop taking steroids!
I don’t plan to do much this weekend. We are having family over on Sunday and hubby is picking his brother up from the airport on Saturday. I hope to putter around the house and outside as much as possible. I need to get the rest of the Erik’s, Tommy and my summer clothes out of storage. And plenty of laundry to do of course.
Off to work a bit before heading to my homevist at 3:30. Have a great day!!
I can’t wait for the three day weekend….I so need a break and some additional sleep. Story of my life.
WEDNESDAY
Yesterday was busy. I had to rush out the door to get Tommy to daycare early so I could appear in court at 8:30. Did I ever mention that the part of my job that I hate is going to court!! I hate writing recommendation to the court, etc. I really could live without that in my life. I was there at 8:30, but the judge didn’t make it in until after 9:00. Ok….why summons me at 8:30 if no one will be there!!! I was in and out of court quickly and all went fine. It was an easy case.
Then I came back to the office and wrote two plans very quickly and headed off to my afternoon appointments. I put on over 100 miles for work driving here and there….ARGH!!!! I got home around 7:00 and ate supper and went to bed and watch American Idol. I barely could stay awake until it was done.
I guess Julie came over to use the computer last night, but Tommy, Erik and I were alseep already.
TODAY
Tommy has his last official day of preschool for the year. Next week is the graduation ceremony and end of year picnic I will be going with him. After I dropped him off at school I ran to CVS and dropped of Erik’s scripts as I need to give pills to his mother on Friday. Hopefully I can have hubby pick them up this evening as I am suppose to go to book group tonight.
Today is busy, busy….I have unit meeting and then a client coming to the office for a meeting and then I am off to Rosemount. I am off ….later!
Hello Everyone…..
We came back from South Dakota last night. It was a good trip. It was really nice to have time with Josh and chat, etc. We had a good time. Saturday we went to the graduation and reception afterwards. After that we went to the park and played. It was fun! Many things are still the same as when I was little. We even got Grandmas to go on a few things. Sunday we stayed until lunch and then headed back to MN. On the way home we decided to go a few miles out of our way and drove to Buffalo, MN, where Josh and I used to live. Our old yellow house is a parking lot and our trailer house is still there. It was interesting……seems like a different lifetime we lived there. We both are happy with the change of living in the cities.
Being home in SD was nice. The atmosphere there is so quiet and layed back. No one rushes around. I like visiting it, but can’t live like that anymore. I need to be busy!
While we were gone the basement flooded….fun, fun, fun…….
I came home and helped Erik with his homework while hubby visited with a friend from work. Then I went to bed to read for a while.
TODAY……
Back to our life…..I took Tommy to preschool and called hubby to remind him to pick up Tommy. Hubby forgot….got a call from the preschool that no one came to get Tommy. ARGH!!! Poor Kid….I sure wish I could be astay at home mom and just take care of my kids. I also dropped off some paperwork at the school for Erik and made my follow-up Dr appointment.
We had a retirement party today for HappySauder. It was nice to see her, but I had to run out and head to a meeting in another town. I am so envious of her life……I want to be home with my kids so badly!
I am off to get my paperwork ready for my meetings tomorrow….I have court nice and early in the morning and then meeting the rest of the day. Life is busy…busy….
This weekend will be busy too as we have some family obligations going on as well. I need the long weekend, but I am afraid I will have to bring my laptop home and work some this weekend
