January 10 Scour your house for loose change, being sure to check under sofa cushions, in loose pockets and in junk drawers. Put all the money you find into a jar. If it’s significant, bring it to the bank to trade it in for dollars. If it’s not enough, put the container on a shelf and keep adding future loose change to it.

  1. We have a piggy bank I stash all our loose change in.  At last count it was up to around $12, I think, and we’ve added to it since.
