HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

All is quiet in our home.  I love it.   I have been up an hour already and no one has gotten up.   I am enjoying the quiet.   I spent some quiet time reading my bible and visiting a few blogs.

We stayed up pretty late last night.   We came home from the neighbors around 1:00 or so.   Then the boys wanted sandwiches.    I read Tommy a story and he was out by the last page.   I read a few and was out myself.   Both hubby and Tommy are still sleeping.   Tommy crawled back in bed with us sometime during the night.

The party was fun.   There were 4 families from our block there, between us all we have about 14 kids.   So it was a house full.   We did fondue and had a pool tournament.   The fondue was great, there was marinated chicken, beef, shrimp and scallops.   There was cheese curds, veggies with batter, hot dogs.  It was all great fun!   It was so nice to catch up with everyone and visit.  I ate way too much!!   Should be interesting when I weigh in next week!

I hope to not leave the house for the next two days at all!  That is my goal!!!   I might go sledding with Tommy, but that is it!  This morning I am going to finish cleaning out the last kitchen cupboard and my kitchen book shelf.  Then I am moving onto the dining room.   I have our filing in there of our yearly bills, which I need to go through and shred what I don’t need to keep.   I need to set up some paperwork things for next year as well and update calendars.   That will get done today…..

Tomorrow………Go through Tommy’s clothes and put away our Christmas Tree!

SUPPER:  Scalloped Pots and Ham

  1. Oh I wish i was close with my neighbours so we could have a friendly get together like that!!  We just moved here in Nov.  so I still haven’t met them all yet.  Most people on our block are retired as well and might not want to hang out with a bunch of young pups like us!  LOL I hate to admit it but i took down our tree on boxing day.  Our puppies kept taking the ornaments off the tree and i was sick of finding the christmas balls in the couch or under my bed!  LOL  Your supper sounds yummy!  I was going to have roast beef but I think i will make what you are having!  Have a great day!
