SUPPER TONIGHT……


BEEF BARLEY SOUP


 


1 lb ground beef, browned
6 cups water
32 ounces canned tomatoes, stewed, crushed or whole
3 cups sliced carrots
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced potatoes
1 cup diced onions
3.4 cup quick-cooking barley
3 tsp. beef bouillon granules, or 3 beef bouillon cubes
2 -3 tsp. salt
ΒΌ tsp. pepper


 



  1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.

  2. Cover.  Cook on low 8-10 hours or high 4 -5 hours.

  3. Serve with fresh bread and cheese cubes.

Supper is in the slow cooker and Tommy is napping so I think it is time for me to relax (really nap) and read for a bit.    LATER!!
