My children make me laugh….

I was home early yesterday and I was sitting at the dining room table.  Erik comes in and says “Mom, Can I ask you a Question?”  Argh…this always means I need to brace myself, who knows what he will want to ask now!!   So he proceeds to ask if it is ok if tomorrow when his Mom comes to get him he doesn’t have to go.  I explain to him that he has to go for a weekend visit.   He askes if I would call Dad and ask if that is right.   Which I do of course and yes, you have to go.   He has such a hard time with summer ending and having to leave our house.   I assure him I am sure he will have a nice time at his mom’s. 

I have to admit I am glad that it is our weekend with only Tommy.   I need a break from having all three kids on the weekend by myself.  Hubby works so it is me and the kids.   The weekend visitations give me a much needed break! 

So a few minutes later my oldest son comes in and tells me he is going to call his Dad and see if he can stay home this weekend!!  ARGH..what is this contagious!  He wants to go to a festival downtown with his girlfriend.  He will have his Dad pick him up after church on Sunday.   Josh is old enough that we let him arrange when and if he is goig to his Dad’s as long as he speaks to me first. 

Ok…I love my children all dearly, but I was looking forward to a weekend with only Tommy.  Plus my brother and SIL are visiting.  I am glad my children like to be home with us, but I am sure their other parents would like to see them too!   They just had me laughing….
