Hello – today has been a long day and it is time to head to bed!  YEAH!!   I got off work a bit early tonight, but will work late tomorrow most likely.  We had to be at Erik’s school conferences today at 5:00.  As always he is doing poorly, not paying attention, not grasping the material.   Good thing his neuro-psych appointment is next month.  Maybe we can get some more answers as to what his problems are exactly and how to help him.  Right now they say low average IQ and ADD, but he is failing so in shcool.  Of course he doesn’t qualify for special ed or additional services since his IQ is over 70, but not much over!  ARGH…Title 1 services ended this year for him, so he has no extra help in the classroom at all.  Hard to just watch him repeatedly fail.  So hopefully this outside assessment will give us all some direction.  The school had a fundraiser and were selling Krispy Kreme Donuts…YUmmy….had to get some!

Tommy and I went outside and walked in a big pile of leaves and he even let me bury him once.  We kicked the leaves and threw them in the air.  He enjoyed that!!  I even took a picture of course!  Tommy ate with a spoon for the first time tonight.  He got the food to his mouth and there was still some left on the spoon, very cute!

I spent one hour tonight doing my very quick cleaning of the house….the flylady way.   But I still have a number of things to do yet this week, but at least a few things are ticked off the list.

Tomorrow I have a 9:30 meeting I am dreading…what is new, then I am off to attend two meetings in Red Wing, MN.   I need to make it back home by 7:00 to attend Josh’s school conferences.

I am off to prepare for tomorrow and head to bed.  Create yourself a great day!

I thought of a few things to do while I was trying to sleep.  LOL!!!   It seems to be a long list for this week.  Hope I can tackle a lot of it tonight after we get home from Erik’s school conferences.

  • I still need to make my to do list for tomorrow, but I did manage to pay the bills and update our calendars (home and work).  So I feel pretty back in the swing of things.   Tomorrow is my cleaning day and since I won’t be working late, I should actually complete my weekly cleaning!  I skipped most of it last week.

I’m Back!!!!!!!!   Whew, this month is so hectic for us.  We have been out of town the last two weekends.  I need to find sometime to get things caught up around home now.  I also would like to work less late evening this week.  So far my week is looking pretty good.

    Monday – Erik’s School Conference at 5:00pm
Tuesday  – in Red wing for Work and Josh conferences in evening
Otherwise the rest of the week I plan in being home at a decent hour.  YEAH!!!

Maybe I will even be able to make a menu this week and cook.  I haven’t been sharing recipes lately since we are never home or really on the run.  So we have been having fast meals either from the freezer or a box.  ARGH!!!

This weekend we went to my hometown in South Dakota.  I was able to spend some time with my best friend and her little ones.  On Saturday my niece got married, so that was a very enjoyable time.  I was able to spend time with two of my four siblings and my parents.  I saw extended family, who I hardly ever see anymore.  The boys were in charge of the gift table and I don’t think they broke anything…LOL!!   Paul and I were the host and hostess of the reception, which was fun.  It all seemed to go very smoothly and was a lovely fall wedding.   My niece decorated so nicely with fall leaves and items.  It was very nice!

We stayed in the hotel and Tommy slept pretty good.  He slept from 11:00 till 7:30, which was ok with us.   He even did alright on the ride home, the entire 6 hour drive!  He didn’t even need to get out of his seat.  On the way there he had to get out 3 times on the drive as he got very cranky.

I hope this week goes well and is relaxing, I am just exhausted!    Well I better go plan my week and make my menu, to do list and junk.

I am sick and feeling lousy.  ARGH!!  But off to work I go.  I have a meeting this morning at 9:30 and then I will do paperwork all day, until my meeting tonight at 7:00.  Argh!!  Long day……..we will see how that goes.  Such is life, ya know.  Sometimes you just have to work those late nights.

Tommy is fighting sleep again tonight.  But I think he has calmed down now.  My work day was good for a Monday.  I got home a bit early so I stopped to shop for some scrapbooking supplies.  I actually started Tommy’s Baby Book and completed the first page.  It is a start at least.

Everyone in the family seems to be sick.  Paul, Josh and Tommy all are feeling terrible.  I seem to be pulling through it.  Tomorrow is my long day at work, so we will see how I fair through that.   Well i think I am off to geta few chores done.  I have been a bit lazy.

Tommy had a very hard time falling asleep last night, but eventually did.  I brought him into our bed and he was jsut wild.  Trying to crawl off and hitting us in the face.  So I put him back in his crib, in which he cried.  I can’t stand to let him cry, it breaks my heart.  But he cried only for a bit and then went to sleep.  He slept for the entire night.  I am sure that made him feel good.  He really needed some good sleep.  He is still sleeping now even.

Well I am off to shower and get ready for work.  I have to appear in court at 9:00am.  I hope I start feeling better after court or I will have to cancel my afternoon meeting.  I have a sore throat and junk.   Paul was feeling really sick last night too.   I am sure it is just the lack of sleep.  I have to run……………..later!! Have a great Monday!
