Back from the cooking session at church. It went pretty good! My friend Staci did the shopping and organizing this time. We made the following:
Chicken Tetrazinni
Chicken Wild Rice Soup x 2
Chicken Pot Pie
Chicken and Rice
So we each left with 5 meals for our families, cost us each 25.50. I think that is pretty good. We will be doing this same seesion again in a month or so on a Saturday and we invite others, but limit it to 12 participants.
Now I have the rest of the afternoon to myself….I think I will work on Tom’s room. I need to go into the bins downstairs and get out the next size of pants. All his 3T’s are highwaters! I have a real thing about my kids being in clothes that are too small….drives me nuts and hubby too,…..actually he is more picky about it!
I did a cooking club with some ladies at church, but we would cook 6x’s 3 different recipes at home, then meet to swap them. It was a good idea in theory, but not everyone had the same level of, uh… cooking proficiency. Your method seems like it would probably work better.
I cleaned out closets last night too!
I’d like more details on how you organize this cooking session (including recipes!!) because it sounds like something I could do at my church…
