MAPLE APPLE OATMEAL

2 cups apple juice
1-1/2 cups water
1/3 cup Maple Syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 cups Quaker Oaks (quick or old fashion, uncooked)
1 cup chopped fresh unpeeled apple (about 1 medium)

In a 3-quart saucepan, bring juice, water, syrup, cinnamon and salt to a boil.  Stir in oats, apple.  Return to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low.  Cook about 1 minutes for quick oats (or 5 minutes for old fashioned oats) or until most of liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.  Let stand until of desired consistency.

  1. Hi, Jenn!  I’m glad you had some down time on Monday. We need days like that occasionally.  I hope you have a great day today!  ~~  Suzanne   🙂

  2. Hi,  yes my son is in middle school.  It certainly is a tough age.  He is a such a sweet heart and I am sure once he gets there it will be ok, but the initial change will be hard for all of us.  I love oatmeal… yum… I’ll have to try this recipe   Blessings, Patti
