Back from the allergist. The appointment took way longer than anticipated and I missed my 12:00 homevisit and needed to reschedule.
New Medication Regimen…..
Stopped taking the Advair – was giving me heart/chest pains.
Increased Pulmicort to 4 puffs – 3 x daily
Continue Zyrtec, and Singular
Predisone…increased again….GRRRR…will I ever get off this stuff!! Back to 3 for 4 days, 2 for 3 days, then call the Dr.
Increase Aciphex to 2x daily – he’s afraid the predisone might be hurting my stomach.
I also had my labs drawn since the prolonged use of predisone can mess with your kidneys. He also checked my potassium levels since albuteral and Predisone both can deplete your potassium levels and I was in the ICU two years ago for depleted potassium levels related to over use of Albuteral. Potassium is related to the function of your heart too and I am having chest pains.
At least with all the waiting I got a good start on my book for book group!! I might even get this one done before we meet!
