Had Shake and Bake Chicken on the menu tonight, but had to improvise when I didn’t have enough Shake and Bake for all the chicken.  It turned out pretty good!  


Shake and Bake


4 cups dried bread crumbs
1 tbsp. Paprika
1/2 Cup flour
4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. Sugar
4 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 cup shortening


Mix thoroughly.  Dip chicken or pork in milk, put shake and bake in plastic bag and shake.  Bake at 400 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.  Keep remainder of mixture in the freezer until needed again.
